Turbine action

A real Indian Summer here in Michigan. Mid November and mid 60's with little to no wind. A great turnout for what may be the last flyable day this season. A few spectators in attendance as well. I flew my Jet several time last weekend and this past weekend (November 8th 2009). There was probably a 20 mph wind blowing directly from our backs hence the landing accross the runway directly at the camera (And pilot)

This is my First Jet back in 2007 (Or at least the remains of it) when it plowed into the front wheel of a Chevy Pickup. At the time it was flying full throttle that had been clocked at 183mph. About all that was salvagable out of it was the Retracts and wheels/brakes. everything else (And I mean everything) was either destroyed or damaged in some way. (With the exception of the Chevy which had NO damage at all!!)

A BIG thanks to Harry Peckham of the Valley View Flyers club in Colorado who put this short movie together!

The latest attempt of Jeff trying to get his Home Built Turbine running at self sustaining levels.

Personally, I think he is very very close to acheving this.

GOOD LUCK JEFF

Hope you have a good Fire Extinguisher handy there Jeff!!!
This is Jeff's home made Turbine running on E85 instead of Kero/Jet-A. Looks good Jeff. Hopefully E85 smells beter than Kero. :)
